West Bengal Elections 2011 will be conducted in 6 phases in following dates,

  5. 7 May 2011
  6. 10 May 2011

Date of Counting of Votes and Announcement of Elections Results for states like Kerala, Tamil Nadu , Puducherry, Assam, West Bengal will be on 13 May 2011.

On 1st March 2011, the announcement of dates for voting in various states like Tamilnadu, West Bengal, Assam, Kerala, Puducherry will be made by the Election Commission after the Union Budget.

The Voting Dates for Legislative Assembly Elections 2011 is eagerly awaited by political parties and citizens of these states.

People of these states and Union Territory are waiting to exercise their voting rights in favour and against various political parties of India.

The Political parties are already busy selecting candidates who are to compete in each seats for election.

This has to be decided with perfect planning and in all states there are many controversies , scandals.etc regarding parties, politicians.etc.

The Indian politicians will be having a tough time from starting of election campaigns to polling booths to announcement of election results.

The detailed schedule of election dates for various states will be helpful for political parties to start the election campaigns.

Elections at Tamilnadu will be conducted at 234 Assembly seats and the present party which is ruling till 2011 is DMK and Congress.

Elections at West Bengal will be conducted at 294 Assembly seats and the present party which is ruling till 2011 is Left Communist.

Elections at Puducherry will be conducted at 30 Assembly seats and the present party which is ruling till 2011 is Congress.

Elections at Kerala will be conducted at 234 Assembly seats and the present party which is ruling till 2011 is Communist Party.

Elections at Assam will be conducted at 126 Assembly seats and the present party which is ruling till 2011 is Congress.

Election Commission of India has issued new Affidavit Format which has to be filled by candidates.

This Affidavit Format will collect detailed information about the background of candidates submitting nomination for participating in Elections.

This will include the Permanent Account Number of candidate and his dependents, latest details of returns filed and many other details.

This will have to be given to the Returning Officer of that Constituency along with the Nomination Papers.

Election Commission has given directions to all Chief Electoral Officers in various states like Assam, West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Union Territory Puducherry regarding this.
