Writer Sukumar Azhikode Vs Actor Mohanlal

The fight between the Malayalam writer Sukumar Azhikode and Malayalam Super Star Mohanlal becomes more serious.

Sukumar Azhikode has filed a case against Mohanlal at the Chief Judicial Magistrate Court.

Based on the Apakeerthi case given by Sukumar Azhikode against Mohanlal , the parties were requested to come to the Court on 17th March 2011 at Thrissur.

The incidents that caused the fight between Mohanlal and Sukumar Azhikode had begun in August 2010.

On 24th August , Sukumar Azhikode had sent an Advocate Notice to Mohanlal. The response notice given by Mohanlal was not satisfactory for Azhikode.

In the notice, Sukumar Azhikode has asked Mohanlal to say sorry to him in the presence of public and media.

He also demanded that this should be shown in television channels. He also demanded Rs.10 lakhs as compensation from Mohanlal.

This was not acceptable by Mohanlal and due to this Sukumar Azhikode filed a petition which has led to the current developments.

In 2010 there was a great issue in Malayalam Film industry with the actor Thilakan coming against AMMA (Association of Malayalam Movie Artists).

During this time Sukumar Azhikode came to support Thilakan and started speaking against AMMA.

At that time Mohanlal and Mammootty was against Thilakan. This made Azhikode speak against them.

Later Azhikode said that Mammootty and Mohanlal had called him in phone and talked harshly towards him.

The actors denied this and said that they have not phoned him.

After this a war of words through television channels started between Mohanlal and Sukumar Azhikode.

Sukumar Azhikode said that Mohanlal is too old to act in movies and it does not suit him when he acts in the roles of hero with young actress.

Azhikode also slashed against Mohanlal saying that he should stop doing advertisements for jewelry shops and so on for making money.

This made Mohanlal angry and he responded saying that Azhikode is having hallucination or mental problem.

Sukumar Azhikode filed a case saying that Mohanlal called him a mentally deranged man.

This was the basic reason why Sukumar Azhikode sent a legal notice demanding Mohanlal to apologize.

Dr.Sukumar Azhikode is a great writer who has made lot of contributions to Malayalam language and is a great criticist of literatures.

He is a native of Kerala and was born in the place Azhikode near Kannur. Currently he is settled at Thrissur. He is a bachelor even at his old age.

Sukumar Azhikode worked as teacher and principal of famous school and colleges in Kerala.

He also served in the positions of Professor & Pro Vice-Chancellor at the Calicut University.

He also worked for many Newspapers. Sukumar Azhikode became famous for his writing called "Thatvamasi" for which he won 12 awards.

He was also offered Padma Shri , but , he refused this award saying that every people should be treated equal and he does not want the Nation to consider him a special person.
